From monolith to microservices: an edtech platform ready to scale
We migrated an edtech platform's infrastructure to a containerized microservices architecture, so it could grow without every deployment being a gamble.

The challenge
The education platform ran on a monolith that was hard to deploy: every update required downtime, enrollment spikes at the start of each school term pushed the infrastructure to its limit, and adding a single new feature meant touching the whole system at once, risking breaking something that already worked.
The solution
We broke the monolith down into independent, containerized microservices, backed by a CI/CD pipeline that let the team ship changes without stopping the service. We set up dynamic autoscaling so the infrastructure would respond automatically to usage spikes — like term start — without manual intervention or over-provisioning the rest of the year.

Results
The team moved from occasional maintenance-window releases to shipping changes several times a week, and the platform absorbed enrollment spikes with no downtime or emergency intervention.
